Some that I’ve done in the past. These are kit knives, meaning that the blades are purchased pre-manufactured, and the handles are customized. It is a great way to get a custom style knife for half the cost. As an example, the guthook skinner that shows in the slideshow below boasts Sambar stag handles with 303 stainless guard, pins and pommel, all custom carved to precisely match the texture of the horn. I sold them as fast as I could make them at $150 each.

I’m now beginning to make my own knives, grinding them from stock. My most common material is ATS34 stainless, though I like the newer high vanadium steels, too.
